Ive made a long term decision
Im gonna keep my Cls6 for life and as I keep rackin up miles im gonna buy a new/used low miles engine when I hit a 100k then hopefully Jim still got his turbo steup in about 3 months for sale. I drove a new TSX today and I hated it. It lacked everything the cl had to offer. Yes rides nice but it was dreadful. Couldnt even get on the interstate barley. Im gonna RonJon the body, re-paint and just keep this car forever.
Anyone have same idea? Hey if it's rare and you like it so much anyway. Why not?

My intention from day one of buying my CL was to keep it til it dies. I really don't plan on getting rid of it unless it becomes too much of a burden to keep it (which i don't see happening any time soon). If I had more money to dump into it, I'd definitely get the turbo kit, but with the wedding coming up and all those expenses, getting an apartment, and probably going back to school part-time; it's not worth dumping $7k in parts into it for me. As for now, I still have to install the UR pulleys I've had since last year, change all the belts, tint the windows, and drop it another inch or so.

I always said I would drive my prelude into the ground, then I found a CL S 6MT and had to buy it. I'm still trying to drive the lude into the ground, but it's not an easy task(especially since it has been seeing mostly winter driving). I've got 152K on it now (1st clutch), my guess is the next thing that needs to be replaced (minus tires & brakes) would be the clutch or another timing belt at 200k. If I replace the T belt again, that pretty much should hold me until 300K.
I'm at the point where I think the only way to kill it is to drive off a cliff or drain all the oil out and go for a cross country trip.

I'm getting itchy again, but I can't see getting rid of a car with only 61K miles on it... It's paid for, so it's not costing me anything, so I'll probably keep it for a few more years...
Now that I've said that, I'll probably be driving something different soon

keeping the CL is a good choice. It's no sports car but it holds its own from time to time. It's still to me a lot better looking than some of the new cars coming out. Besides at least if you keep it you can save up for a turbo kit or if you see something you like you can put a nice down payment on a new ride.
Better to save for what you want later rather than blowing what you have and being stuck with car payments on something you wish you could get rid of after a year or two.

I don't know what about the tranny after 109,000mi and the warranty is off. I'll probably buy an infinity G35. I mean who wants to keep paying 4000 for the tranny to be rebuilt after the warranty's off. My cars in the shop now getting the trans replaced and its really got me looking at other cars .

My 03 cls 6 is my DD. I love it and will probably keep it for at least 3 more years. I've had it since November. I have thought about trading my S2000 in when it's paid off next year. I just enjoy driving both cars so much that I know I'll miss them if I got rid of them. But, just as Green said, I get itchy myself for something new. What I typically do to sooth the itch is mild mods. Makes me want to keep it for a while. I guess, mods to my cars are my benadryl.

thats what i said but once u go thru a tranny change the car is not just the same.
Then u start considering a change or a new car.
I will like to see maybe the 3.5 type s engine put inside the CL 2nd gen body style.
that wud be dope, prpbably get into the 13s with that - bolt ons.
