It's probably been talked about 1000's of times

But I'm about to change my Engine Oil For first time...

I searched threads but search engine doesn't work too well.

I got a 03 6 Speed 38K miles about and was gonna use some Royal Purple. I think we use 5W-20 Right? I also live in Jersey so I know weather plays some role in what viscosity to get.

Does 4.99 Sound right for a quart found this on Ebay.

Seams like a good deal... I'd probably need about 6 quarts correct?

The shippings gonna be $10.16 for 6 quarts... So basically it'll run me around 40 dollars shipped...

Is it worth it... and is that the right Oil I should be getting?

Get the 5 quart jug of Mobil 1 at Wal-Mart for half the price. Mobil 1 is just as good and will save $20.

5W-30 is fine for Jersey winters.

5W-20 is to much of a pain to find, unless you buy it online.

Here's the real deal on oil. ANY quality name brand oil -- Quaker State, Shell, Mobil, etc. along with a decent quality filter is all you will EVER need to put in a street auto -- even with the occasional trip to the strip or track day.

Many people (me included) use a good synthetic like Mobil 1 for the extra, really un-needed protection (belt & suspenders) and longer change intervals.

If you go synthetic, there is no need to spend more money for Royal Purple or Amsoil, to name two. There is no way that any car driven mostly on the street (as well as many track applications) will ever exceed the protective qualities of Mobil 1. I don't care if you plan to put 300K on the car, you don't need anything more!

As I said above, any well known brand name -- Shell, Mobil, Quaker State, Valvoline, etc.
