installing AEM CAI
didany one else have to cut there tube to install the bypass valve? and was it diffecult....i have had mine for almost 6 months now but nevr the time to mess with it.

I think the bypass valve negates some of the benefits of having a CAI. Unless you plan on completely submerging the front of you car in three feet of standing water don't worry about it. If you do happen to drive through a large puddle, just lay off the throttle....more air going in = better chance of water going in.

It took me less than 5 minutes to cut my AEM to install the bypass valve. It really is not hard, promise!

As for performance issues, you'll lose maybe a 1/2hp tops.... so it's still worth it in my mind....
