The reason for me even starting this thread is that I like how ingalls gos to the engine mount instead of on the block. I'm probably just paranoid, but i just think this is safer. If ingalls does not want to pursue our application then I will be going to Garage Kwai to have them make me one.
i don't understand. it needs to bolt to the engine or it is pointless.

It is mounted to the engine, but just at the engine mount spot. When you go to there site look at all the how to manuals for the rsx's, integra's, etc. They all go from the shock tower to the passager side engine mount.

so louie11, there are four engine mounts to the chassis. what do you mean when you say mount the damper at the engine mount. first off what engine mount are you talking about and if you are talking about a particular mount how do you plan on mounting it there? the best and simplest way to do it seems to be from the top shock tower to the bolt that holds the power steering pump to the block. if 02Av6's supercharged motor doesnt impose any problems mounted from the shock tower to the steering pump so why do you think it could cause a problem on a weaker motor in our car. weaker by not supercharged.

I just called Roth over @ NRG innovations; he asked me to shoot him an email and provide him my information. He will then go through w/ the marketing department to see what can be done for the CL.

I'll send him my email right away and keep y'all posted.

Like I said earlier, I'm probably just being paranoid. If you go to Ingalls web site and click on the "Stiffy ETD" button on the left side. Then click on any of the RED numbers next to the car applications. Next at the top it will say "installation ins. - click here" you then will see for every application Ingalls made brackets so the dampner is level with the engine and they mounted it from the shock tower to the engine mount. Since they are the pioneers of this type of product I would think they know what they are doing and that there is a purpose for it. Not to say that what Garage Kwai did is wrong or might in some way damage anything. I'm not a car or structual engineer so I don't know. I'm just saying that there must be a purpose for ingalls doing this to every kit for each application.

the motors in the ingalls instruction are all 4 bangers. they are also mounting it to what appears to be a bracket on the power steering and the block, both. it is the same structuraly, i'd say. there were only three bad pics, so Im not sure, but pretty sure.
