Infiniti FX35
I considering trading in my CL-S and getting a 2003 Infiniti FX35 with the Tech package. What are your thoughts about this vehicle? Anyone purchased on in the Chicagoland area? I'm curious what I should pay for this vehicle. Any insights are appreciated.

I drove it, and it is a great riding and driving car. Very smooth. The engine, however, will feel MUCH slower when compared with ur CL-S. It isn't unbearably slow, but it has alot of weight to cart around.
The interior is also very very small. Not much room.
If you don't need room, and you don't crave speed, then I say get it.

ALL the car magazines have complained how harsh of ride the FX45 has (the same as the sport package FX35).
The FX35: At 4046lbs and using the 3.5L 280HP Nissan engine it may seem relatively sluggish.
The FX35 goes for $34,200 msrp & $30,962 invoice (base -2WD).
Tech Package +$3900
• Enhanced Vehicle Information System with 7-inch color LCD screen; adds fuel-economy calculator
• Infiniti Navigation System with DVD database and Birdview™
• Intelligent Key keyless entry, security and starting system.
• Intelligent Cruise Control which includes Brake Assist with Preview
• Infiniti DVD Mobile Entertainment System
• RearView Monitor
• Onboard Tire Pressure Monitor
• Power sliding tinted glass sunroof with one-touch open/close, tilt feature and sliding sunshade
• Bose® premium 300-watt, eleven-speaker audio system
• HomeLink® Universal Transceiver
• Auto on/off headlights
• Steering-wheel-mounted audio controls
• Cargo net
They even charge +$3500 for the Beryllium 16 paint package. Ouch.

I actually raced a FX35 a while back (it had dealer plates) when I had my CL. I beat it by a lot, but I was totally suprised at how well the FX35 moved out. It definitely is far from slow. I guesstimate ~7.2 0-60.
BTW, I absolutely love the FX35/45. Great auto all around
