Impressions of CL-S and competitors in GT3

I couldn't decite which forum was appropriate. It has to do with racing, cars, and ramblings. Oh well, I'll put it in car talk, so more people will see it.

Well, last night I though I would put the Cl and its closest GT3 competetors though thier paces. Drove the Cl-S, S4, Aztella RS200 (4cyl, but 207hp), and the 328Ci.

Imprssions of each

Aztella - This was the non-US 4cyl car, there isn't an I-6 Aztella in the game. But it has 207hp@7600, so it isn't short on high end power. Very good handling. Weak low end power. I only did a few laps with this, since it wasn't a US car.

Cl-S - You are familiar with this one, right Rated in the showroom at 260hp, but sometimes listed at 252. Exellent performance at the drag strip and in the straightaways. Handling needs improvement, way too much understeer and body roll (probably correctable with suspention mods) Oddity: There is VTEC shake that the game sends through the controller when the car is in VTEC range, kinda annoying.

S4 - Astounding power. Rated in the game at 261hp (Audi rates it at 250.) Good all around performance, but definatally needs improved handling. Did't run it on the Complex string, cause I knew that it would win.

328Ci- Weak engine, rated at either 190 or 187 in the game (BMW rates it as 193, although it is speculated to be higher) The 330 would be a much better contender. Phenomenal handling partially made up for the weak motor. A tad too much low speed understeer, but excellent high-speed cornering. Can be modded to well over 400hp Way too expensive at 50,690 Cr.

Lap Times

Edit: Please don't bash my lap times, I'm not that good :p

Deep Forest Raceway

Cl-S = 1:37.857
Aztella = 1:36.674
328Ci = 1:34.544
S4 = 1:33.610

Laguna Seca

Cl-S = 1:47.298
328Ci = 1:45.687
S4 = 1:45.323 (I know I could do better, but it was the obvious winner)

Complex String

Cl-S = 5:48.256
328Ci = 5:40.870 (abnormally good lap)

Drag strip- I just held the X button down at redline. Both have better real-world times, with the Cl still having the advantage.

328Ci = 15.881@88 mph
Cl-S = 15.456@92 mph

Top Speed- Cl had the usual 4th gear slow acceleration, but I was suprised at how week the BMW was past 140.

328Ci = 149.6
Cl-S = 153.0

My ranking regardless of price, stock

S4 - 39,730 Cr.
328Ci - 50,690 Cr.
RS200 - 24,000 Cr.
Cl-S - 34,230 Cr.

Ranking with price factor (for the price of the BMW you could get some great mods for the other cars)

S4
RS200
Cl-S
328Ci

note about prices: I couldn't figure out the pricing arrangement in the game. Specifically why the 328 was so much more expensive than the others, when in the US, it is less expensive than the S4, but more than the Cl. If the price of the BMW was reflective of the US market, meaning less than the S4, around 36K, I would have picked it as the best Value. I guess BMW's are more expensive in Japan :o Does anybody know why

BTW: where are the BMW M cars There is a Mercedes-Benz CLK 55, why not an M3 or M coupe?
