I'm having Navi issues
My girl plotted in a course direct from the Chesapeake bay bridge to Washington DC, knowing that it is a staight shot on route 50 the whole way. My Navi told me to go north towards Baltimore?? It's done this (given bogus directions) a few times now when plugging in addresses, including telling me to jump off of the highway, go about 2 or 3 miles, do a U turn and continue to my destination. When I went to the dealer today one of the mechs postulated that it was giving alternate routing info. After repairing a sqeaky driver's seat they are going to try and diagnose it.
Any ideas?

Outnumbered at home
You have to take it with a grain of salt. Rarely mine does the same thing. One place i always use it in Chevy Chase it wants me to take a left turn then loop around across the street, instead of just taking a right turn.
It just goes retarded sometimes. Hey its a machine and the little lawyer screen tells you to check the directions because they may not be accurate.
Of course it may have been easier to take 495 instead of 50, depending on where you were going in DC, so it may actually be right on that one

DC Cruiser
I think his Navi routed him towards bmore on I-97. I have never had that problem during the severa trips back and forth on 50. I have come across the bridge from the eastern shore using my navi, and it always routed me east of 50 to 495.
I sail on the bay out of the West and South Rivers, and during all the times I enter/exit 50 I have never had any "misroutes."
I have had problems where it tells me to make a right, then make a u-turn, or directs me otherwise in the wrong direction just to turn around, kinda strange-

Turns out that the disc was getting errors, so they replaced it with a new DVD! WOO HOO!!
Shawn S, I think the old ver. was 1.09? I could be wrong.
The disc they installed is ver. is 2.04, database ver. AD0720.
Is that the most recent?

Yea, going from 1.09 to 2.04 is an upgrade, but a VERY MINOR one.
As an example, my 6-Speed came with 2.05 from the factory back in March of 2002.
They probably gave you someone else’s old DVD from an upgrade.
As stated above, 2.11b w/patch or 2.11c would be the latest & greatest.
Depending on your area, 2.11 is a MAJOR upgrade in the road & POI database.
You should check it out if you want the latest.
