My bad karma (see speed contest thread) was balanced out recently by my acceptance on a racing based reality tv show called "Setup" on the SPEED Channel.

Here's the jist. 10 teams of a driver and 2 crewmen attract sponsorship, build their car and race it to keep their place on the show. It is normal people getting a chance to compete for a childhood dream.

I go down to SoCal on or around the 20th for my qualifying session. I get 1 lap to solidify my place on the show.

The show will air in February. WISH ME LUCK!!!!!!

I don't know, the producer wasn't exactly flowing with answers. The qualifying last season was with a 125 shifter kart. 4 laps, you spin - you're out. The car they used for the show was a race modded & caged Pontiac Solstice.

I saw their show on tv...its pretty beast...they let you drive and mod the new solstice...last time they had yellow ones....good luck tho...represent..
