Usually you just need one extra to switch with any packs you think are bad...

Looks like someone is going to have a few extra "used" coil packs...

DIBS !!

hehe, i installed all 6 in 30 minutes. yes i know i went overboard, but decided i wanted everything to be good. wow, took it for a drive around the block and it is so much smoother.

i will test the old coils to see if any are def bad or not.

That sure is an expensive tune-up. Each coil pack is what, $40? I think you might have gone overboard.

80,0xx miles. well now i know the entire ignition system is good. havent checked injectors but last dyno was running way rich so i'm not worried about that.

actually i got my parts from a local acura dealer and their prices are lower than acuraparts247.com and acura carland... and i get all my stuff next day.

Hey, hope this works out for you, in the meantime, would you loan me a good coil pack for a few weeks, want to find something out and don't want to take any out of my car because of the downtime.

Kind of hard to really tell, but your plugs look fine.

I'm not really sure how to test them but imagine it can be done. I'm looking into some aftermarket coils and want to send one to them to see if what they have will work with our car or not.

Did the coils solve your problem?

Easiest way is to just swap one in and run the car for a while.

I don't know if that's the EASIEST way, I'm sure with the right tools and knowledge, you could probably test all 6 before you replaced one in the car.

well, my from my understanding about electronics, you may test all 6 coils, and if they are registering within an OK medium... so yes, they work, but may not be working at their 100% potential.
