can u tell your car's production # from the VIN?? i've noticed some of your signatures have your car's ID #, and i'm curious about mine. also, i'm looking for the explanation of the entire VIN, like the month and day, they year, etc etc, and i can't remember where i saw it. thanx.

yeah i remember there being a post about this back in the day. not sure what part of the vin it is, prob last part. i am curious to find out as well. can someone help?

 

The last 5 numbers make up the number car it was out of the factory. To find out when the car was made, look on the tag in the driver side door jam. It has info about when it was made, what color it is, etc, etc.


{edit} -- If anyone knows how to figure out the exact date of manufacture (i.e. what day the car was assembled), I'd sure like to know.

If the dealer runs your VIN through their computer, it should have the day and date that your car was built. This is how I found out when my 300M was built. It wasn't even a Friday or a Monday and it still sucked!
