I've autocrossed my CL-S several times and although it isn't the best car to autocross with, I have no problem beating BMW 330's and IS300's. I've never done it in the rain though...that would be fun but probably a bit slow.

I find that hard to believe. A cometent driver in a 330 or IS wouldn't have a hard time beating a CL. Auto-x is just not the CL's forte. Take a look at the SCCA Nationals results The 330 and IS300 made good performances (though an Acura did win). No CLs competing in GS.

Yes, I do auto-x. Not for a few moths though. Road Course events are much more fun. Though lots more abusive and expensive

ahahahaha they put u in STX!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

on Long Island, i compete in STX against WRX's, ITR's, Imprezza's, Talons, etc., and it's ALWAYS a close race...since modding my suspension, i've become much more competitive...STX class usually goes up to 3.1 liter engines, and since they're not sure what class other than STX to put me in, they make an exception...i prob should b in G-Stock, so we'll see next season if i can change

autox for this year is finished, so i'm looking forward til next season

I autox'd for the first time yesterday too, but in my MR2. I was placed in CSP because of my suspension mods. I kicked some butt for my first time out there. In the novice class, I was faster than a boxster, 99 cobra, s2k, se-r specV, a couple wrx's, just to name a few. Was even 0.03 from a 330ci. Yeah, we're all newbies so I shouldn't compare times, but still

I was 2 seconds faster than a supercharged MR2 that's been autox'ing for 2+ years though...

I'm hooked!

if i was pure stock i would be in H-stock since i have the 4cyl.

because i have I/H/E and suspension work, but still stock or equivalent to stock tires im in STS/STX. if i had kept my 17's then i would be in SM.

i autocrossed my sisters bone stock 97 3.0cl once it was a lot of fun but i gotta say a manual transmision and some decent tires would make a huge difference in your times

yeah...I got addicted over the summer.

I did it twice and loved it. I decided to stop though because I was afraid the extensive wear and tear would prove to be too much for my tranny and everything else.

If I had some extra dough, I'd get a GS-R or ITR to do the job.
