Oh, man. It's lucky he still alive. But wondering a 40mph impact can make a such damage.

NO way that was done at 40mph. my girl has a 99 prelude, i think i will show her this.... i HATE PRELUDES! this is a perfect reason to get rid of hers.

40mph sounds about right. Look at what the NHTSA does for side impact:

With the Prelude .. concrete pole, small impact area, no "give". Looks like the car hit a few objects before the pole.

rolling over at 40mph will do to any car, i saw an xterra rolled at 15 mph that looked almost as bad as that

That's good... I know an Azn dude named Ronald that has a prelude like that with a fart pipe on it... I shoot pool with him sometimes, glad to hear that's not him.
