I live my life one Auto-X event at a time...
well, I'm addicted...
I went to my second Auto-X event this past weekend. Had to wake up at 6:30am on a Sunday...that was tough, but well worth it. The new 340+ acre Beaver Run race track is BAD ASS!
While we were there, a motorcycle racing club was there taking advantage of the new race track. They were reportedly doing well over 140mph around the sweeping down hill turn.
I did much better this time around in the Auto-X event. I met a few guys at the last run and we bs'ed a bunch about cars etc. I had benched my self against a Civic Si that ran last week. He was beating me by about 2-3 secs on his runs. This time around I beat him by 0.5+ secs. Granted this course had more straights so torque and power was a definite advantage.
Next event is two weekends from now...same place...same time. The track is one hour East of Cleveland, 45 minutes North of Pittsburgh. Anybody in the area should definitely check it out. All novice or seasoned racers are welcome.

...removed some weight. Well actually, that wasn't the reason I removed the rear seats. I had to get to the adjustment knobs for my TEIN SS coilovers. I had the front set at 3 clicks from the stiffest and had the rear at the stiffest setting. The car carved like a knife...for a 3700 lb. car

I met this guy at the last Auto-X event. It was cool to see that an owner of such of an expensive car was so friendly and easy to talk to. He didn't run too well though...the torque from the big V12 kept kicking the rear end out. He says he'll take it out on the actual race track next month. I'll definitely be there to witness that...
