I Was Just Wondering...About the Night Hawk Black Pearl Paint!

Anyone notice the blue specks in the paint? The CL Type S broshure shows the paint as solid black.

Yep. Depending on light and angle, it can be anywhere from black to a deep indigo blue.

With some Zaino applied, the paint really has some nice depth and sparkle.

My '98 GSR was called Flamenco Black Pearl and it had blue metallic flecks of paint in it...in sunlight, it looked like a black car with blue specks. My buddy got a new '03 Accord sedan in the Nighthawk Black Pearl and it looks like there is more blue in it...in the light, the car has a very dark blue tint to it.

I have this color also. As mentioned above the angle of the light has to be right before you can see it.
I have a little scratch and dent on my fender I need fixed. I have yet to find someone I trust to match the color. That blue is a bitch to match and spray.

Yep. When my car was re-painted because of hail damage they could not match the color and ended up painting the whole car a more true black. I believe it looks much better now without the blue in it!

I had my rear bumper replaced when my car was about 1.5 weeks old. They matched the paint perfectly (at the Acura body shop).

My body man tells me that pearl is pain in the ass because it's a 3 step process to paint.

When it's cl;ean in bright light you see the blue "pearl" effect, however on mine it's getting harder and harder because of all the rock chips in the front.

Here in Florida, Acura has no body shop. They farm out the car.
