I have always wanted a WRECKED car for Christmas... NOT!!!!!!! :(

Exactly NOT what I wanted for Christmas.

I was in REALLY Bad traffic and traffic started to move again... I was watching the guy behind me because he was tailgating me and so I was trying to be cautious... Well I guess I was paying too much attention to the driver behind me and did not see that traffic was stopping... FAST!!! Before I noticed traffic was stopping I had noticed that the driver behind me had let off, well I found out why REALLY fast. It was WAY TOO LATE to stop, hit the brakes and hit him at about 30-35mph. UGH. It just hurts, it really hurts...

damn dood... i know how it feels. I did 22k of damage to my 1 month old TL on Christmas Eve.

i also crashed my RED CL-S and did very similar damage to you.

just be happy the airbags didnt come out. that shit trashes your car.

my red CL... the airbags didnt come out and my front end looked like yours but the car came back BETTER then new.

whereas my TL... where airbags came out... front and back got crunched... was never the same.

your car will be all good in a few weeks.

keep yer chin up

Because the impact was above the bumper. The sensors for the air bags are IN the bumper.

our airbags dont go off under 5mph... and i have a feeling they may be even less sensitive then that. meaning they only go off above like 10mph.

WHICH IS A GOOD THING IMO.

My eyes!!

I am glad you are alright, that shit doesn't look good at all.

I see this year was a shitty year for people around the holidays, we had several people get their CL's ruined by fender benders.

Well guys, I should get my car back by the end of this week. Total damage looks like $8,000. The place that I took it to really helps me out and I work with a really nice guy there too and he does me good. The battery was damaged a little so he said that it needs to be replaced. I said, hey can I put an Optima Red Top in there instead, he said sure. The AEM intake was also damaged so that should be replaced. Plus he is helping me out with my $500 deductible. Last he told me that I should not have to pay any deductible, he will take care of the deductible. I said GREAT!!! Can't wait to get my baby back. I miss my tunes too. At least it will get a better paint job then when I got it brand new. The stock paint job on these acuras sucks.

Good news Pimp !! If you get it back by Thursday maybe you can bring it by to our Java meet. If not, stop by anyway if you can.

Like I said.. The important thing is that you are O.K.

I was thinking that you could make a 'spare' short ram outta that CAI.

CAI is scratched up and has a little dent, but by body shop guy said he can repair it if I want to and he would put that towards my deductible. I cannot afford my deductible at this time, so it really helps me out. I should not have to pay any of my $500 deductible, he says...
