I have 37K in a year, thnking of making a change.

Ok, I absolutely LOVE my car, PDG, tint, Pro-Kits, SHWEET!

Having said all that, I have 37K on my baby after only a year and a month. The way I'm going, I'll have 70K in two years, though I'll be working from home come January, so my mileage will decrease dramatically.

I'm thinking about getting something else. I'm trying to determine the best alternative. I want to get another car but I was also thinking of getting another little car to put miles on (which defeats the purpose of my having the CLS...as I bought it to drive).

Any thoughts?

what do you want as an alternative? A crusier? A sports car? etc., etc., WRX would be fun i guess.

I guess we all bought our lovely CLS to drive it.

The CLS drives like a dream on the HW. You would rack miles ski high....

I would say if you bought the car and it's not giving you trouble drive it till you brake it.... just kidding..... drive it till you join the high mileage club!

Get a Hyundai Elantra...great warranty and a perfect beater. I hear they are more reliable than they used to be...or you could try a Ford Focus ZX3...not a bad little car for the money....or how about a used Integra?

I'm facing a similar situation: nearly 50k miles in less than 2 years. Driving another [second] car is out of the question; just to save miles? No, you really don't feel like wasting time driving around in another car unless it was comparable like a Lexus or BMW. Don't waste your money. I've decided to trade or sell early because I did the high mileage thing with two Integras (120k and nearly 200k). It was pretty in the end...

I agree

2 cars is just that, 2 cars.

You got the CL-S to drive, look and feel good doing it. I got 2 cars, but trust me, my Probe GT is the weekend sports car, drive it too damn fast car, while the CL is for cruising, taking the women out, and just being cool. Role reversal is sooooo cool!

Drive the puppy into the high mileage club, you won't be alone bruh, I am joining you as we speak!
