I hate Acura and their shitty windows/regulators
That's right. Their shitty windows fucking suck. I'm fucking pissed right now. Mother fuckers. Sorry for my post. But just after I pickup my ZEX kit from my friend, I go to roll down my driver's side window to talk to my friend. I hit the auto-down, and it get's 3/4 way and I hear a bunch of snapping, cracking, and shattering. 
My friend across the parking lot heard it and was cringing at the same time I was. We both said "That can't be good. " So I decided to roll up the window.... There was no window. The motor just keeps going, and going, and going, and going, and going, and going... And going. So this is going to be fun to replace. Sounds like I have to replace the regulator, and the fucking window. Has this happened to anybody else?

My passenger side motor died last year, got it fixed. It worked for a while, now it just pops @ me about 1/2 way down and sounds like it's going to fall in the door. Driver's side is currently dying, so I got bitched @ about that one...another $300 for a damn window...

usually it's only the motor/regulator because of the motor, or cables (your case is the cables).
the window can be saved (unless the brackets the 2 srews go in, are detached from the window)

the complete motor and regulator assembly come as one piece. it's under
$100 bucks for the assembly. once you cpull the door panel off, there are about 8 bolts to take out. bolt the new assembly in. bolt the window to the reg. and reassemble door panel.

Man that happened to me also the metal wires got caught up in the motor and tore the wire so I went to acura and bought the motor and replace it under 15 minutes its easy man.

Wow if anyone here thinks that the regulators are bad in these cars, look at like the 99-up grand am my sister had a 00 gt and everytime it got cold and she tried to roll it down the cables would break, or the window would fall through, or it just would flat out not move. In the two years she had this car the regulator broke 6 times!!!

I had the same thing happen to my integra gs-r driver window.
I always rolled down my windows in that car. it probably broke because of how much I rolled it up and down.
but they still should last pretty damn long.

My car has been in the service department several times for the same thing. When they replaced my drivers side regulator, I had to take the car back several times, totaling 4 AFTER they replced it. All together, it's been there 5 freakin' times and I still think the damn door leaks.

Wow... some of you seem to be really angry people. 
Ive had this happen before, well... not breaking but my 90 Accord and my friends 94 Civic had PW issues.
