97 3.0 cl vs possibly 07 a4 variant audi

so im waiting at red light and a guy with an audi pulls up next to me,so far i didnt recognize which audi it is,so light turns green and apparently,for no reason at all we floor it,lol,we fly off ,him staying by about 5 car lengths infront,i hit seventy and he slows down i pass him going around 75

now he was debadged so i couldnt get which audi it is,and also audi makes so many versions theres no way i could have recongnized it.

but ya i got owned lol

i would guess he was running more than 250 hp to cream me like that

it looked like an suv/wagon from the side,so im guessing its an avant but lowered

If it was a pre 04 Avant S4 then it had a 2.7 Bi-Turbo under rated @ 250HP. If it was lowered then it might have been chipped in which case it was likely putting down a bit over 300HP. Maybe as high as 330 hp with just a tuned chip. Add exhaust, Divertors, aftermarket intercooler, N75J boost control valves, intake, now your looking around 350+hp. and AWD. With bolt on RS4 K04 turbos it would be in the 450 to 650 hp range.



04 and up have the 340HP 4.2 V8

They are nice cars, I'd like to have one some day. I'd really like the RS6 avant!

Not to bad if he only had 5 cars on you to that speed!
He would certanly get the jump with that AWD Quattro system!

moral of the story... save your gas, the sh*t is expensive. waste of gas to see a car that u know is faster than u eat u alive. just messin with you... Only reason why I stray away from audi is cause how unreliable and expensive they are to repair. Although at one point in time I thought about gettin one. My boy has an A6 and that thing practically lives at the dealership.

this is the first time i hear one say they are unreliable cars,but i gotta admit,the look and technology of the audis is beautiful!!

well if I'm gonna go german I wouldn't waste time with audi... mercedes or BMW are better built cars IMO. My friend has almost had joint ownership with the dealer cause they had the car for damn near half its life and some of the techs there also fucked something up. maybe just his but a complete nightmare nonetheless.

ya a true car is a bmw,ill defintely be looking for one in a few years if i kill this one lol if ur the first owner and you take good care of it,i would guess you can easily get 300 k on the miles.

owned BMW and mercedes and I love them both. I didn't feel anything in the mercedes, any imperfections in the road were just absorb. It was a very smooth ride. If i have my choice and I can afford it maybe a year or two after it comes out, the Skyline...

Pretty sweet rides the Skyline. But that new one is starting at 70K. I'd rather have a nice used Porsche for that kinda doe. Just personal pref.

yeah I know 70k is hefty but hell that thing is in the same class as far as performance goes with the porsche. But a porsche would be something i would want to buy brand new but like you said all personal preference. That would be something I would want to buy when I hit status and have the doe to buy brand new. 911 turbo...

If you got the doe, you can put a turbo on anything. On that 3.0, I think that Audi would still dust your ass. If it was slightly modded of course.
