I can't keep it to myself no more.... I bought a new CAR!

Alright, before you guys think that I jumped the CL ship and hopped on the "trade-in" bandwagon, rest asure that I still have my CL.

But I just can hold it anymore, I was hopping to let mattg check it out first before I break the news on here, but it's been two weeks, and he didn't call (biatch!! ), so I will just break the news now.

I got a S2000 too!! Except I didn't buy it brand new... The 2003 line up didn't have the color combo I've always wanted. So I found the next best thing. An used one from a S2Ki member. The color I been wanting to get is only offered in 00, and 01 model. GranPrix White with Red/Black lether interior. Man talk about rare... I found out from S2K that the white is a very rare color, so it took me about 1 year to find the exact one I wanted.

The owner really took care of the car, and he really didn't wanted to sell it, but since his work (lots of traveling, and very expensive to keep a car garaged in DC), he had to sell it. The car had about 34K on the od, and it ran great!!! Had the dealer check it out and everything when I was out there before I handed him the check.

One catch though... the car is Comptech Supercharged!!! At 6.8 psi, it's putting down about 325.6 HP at the rear wheel, on the Mustang Dyno, I have it in PDF.

Anyway here is a list of mods that came on the car so far... I'm saving my money to get the Mugen MF10's.

Exterior:
-C-West Body Kit (not installed yet)
-Backyard Special Rear spoiler
-J's Racing Carbon Fiber Hood
-Red Hood Pins
-Rick's Smoked Headlights
-JDM Clear Sidemarkers
-JDM Red Honda Badges, rear only.
-Ground Control adjustable springs
-Spoon strut tower brace
-Spoop X brace
-Spoon rear brace

Engine:
-Comptech Supercharger
-Proflow Designs Throttle Body
-DC Sports Header SS (JetHot Coated)
-JDM Apex N1 Exhaust
-Spoon Thermostat / Thermoswitch / Radiator Cap
-Apexi VAFC
-Toda Flywheel - 11lb
-Star Stage 3 Clutch w/ Lightened PP
-Blitz DC 2 Turbo Timer

Interior:
-Rick's Leather Console Cover
-Rick's Leather Shift Boot
-IDI Dead Pedal
-Voodoo Shift Knob

I have lots of pictures, and the pdf dyno, but no where to host it... and I know this thread is worthless without it, but if someone is willing to host them for me, as soon as I get home, I will send them to you. All the stuff is on my laptop.

Thanks a lot!!

mattg, you got my number!! Call damn it!!! I know you work weird ass hours...

Congratulations. Nice car.

I almost bought an S2K in the late spring. For a roadster, I really like that car. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be too practical as a daily driver where there is winter, and I cannot afford a second car (really third family car) now, especially since I'm buying my wife a new car in the upcoming few months.

Dman, I didn't think anyone would ever get rid of that car!! it's just such a classic car... This one is a keeper for me for sure...

I know this might be excessive... but I'm changing oil at every 2000 mile, new plugs at every 4000, and new belts at every 10,000 miles. Need to keep that paxton charger happy.

CT is taking too long for the aftercooler kit... I might have to go with a custom FMIC kit.

No.. I did that when I got the car here to OR...

I did it because just like a Turbo, it's good to have a cool down period after hard or long drive. The DC2 has the a feature to log your boost or drive time, and calculate the proper cooling time for the supercharger.

Plus, I really like the digital boost guage and warning light.

A good investment I'd say for any FI cars... IMO.

This is not cool bro. CONGRADS on the car, but you have to have some pics. If not, at least post some of the pics the previous owner had.

with all those mods, aren't you afraid of how it was driven? he could give you his word that he drove it carefully and babied it, but in the end you won't know for sure. congrats on the car anyway, sounds sick.

Matt, I should be around, just drop me a line..

zigzagzig, at first I worried about the samething, but I felt pretty good after taking it to the dealership for a standard pre-sell inspection. Even the dealer was amazed on how clean the car was. both under the hood, and under the car. No leaks, no nothing. The guy who I bought it from was real cool too, he knew a lot about cars in general, he also showed me all of his services slips as well as taking me to meet his mechanic that he goes to on a regular basis. I'm sure he had fun with the car, but I'm sure it's no more than what I will do with it either.

darrinb, I paid what the car was worth.. The guy wanted $27K plus shipping. I didn't low ball him, so he included the shipping cost in the $27K. Shipping was like $1200 with insurance from DC to Oregon. So I thought 26K was very fare, considering I know someone locally who also bought a 2000 White/Red S2000 stock for $24K. I figured that most of the parts on this car I would eventually get anyway (love modding), so I'm perfectly willing to save myself the trouble of getting the parts and paying labor for the install. I estamate at least 10K worth of parts and labor for this car. Plus it also has been dyno tuned... normal S2K with CT S/C dyno at around 295HP, which was the baseline on the dyno sheet he gave me, so the performance shop was able to squeeze another 30HP out of the car just by tuning it putting the car into the 325HP range.

Thanks again for the positive response!

You must be a big guy... I about 5'10", 215lb, the car fits like a glove, without the seat being all the way back either.

One of my friend who is 6'2", and I let him sit in the driver seat, and he said it was fine too..

That's a good one, except I wouldn't want people to confuse thinking that I can red line at 29K... lol...

I was thinking...

REVTO9K
9K SHFT
VTEC 9K
LUVVTEC

Something on that line... because I'm sure anyone who has had a FI on their Vtec Honda will know that the Vtec cross over will get 10 times crazier.

darrinb, I know my generic name on this board sucks... but to late to change it...
