hydroplane/drifting feel in rain/snow
i am new to this discussion group. i got my 99 3.0 cl in mar, 01 with 10000mi on it, and with orig all season michlins. car handles like a dream in dry conditions, but have traction control difficulty in rain/snow, driving in no. illinois. i put blizzaks on for winter. helped in rain, not in snow. this spring put michlins back on, and had car aligned. hydroplane/ drifting feel persists in rain. car now has 23000 mi on it. i am keeping this car, but never drove a car with this handling issue before(4 prior celicas). dealer and acura cust relations both said there is no history of this type of complaint for this car. am curious if other cl owners have experienced this control issue. any help/info is welcome.

The Michelins suck. No question about it. I had them on my 96 Accord, 98 Accord & 01 CL-S (all bought new).
When the roads are very wet, I have auqaplaned twice when breaking at 65 mph....
Even on dry roads with my CL-S, it does not take much to spin the front. I just hate it when the front is fighting to get traction..

yep .. stock michelin's are damn awful (same on my accord) ... get yourself some good tires. it's the best upgrade for the money. No other mod will be so apparent for the money. if you have blizzak's for winter, go for a grea tsummer tire like a bridgestone RE730 (amazing grip), or a dunlop 9000 or pirelli P7000 or their new pzero nero
