You think people are gonna take that thing off-road? 10% of them, at the best. Most of them will only see grocery stores and 4x8 plysheets, if that.

Completely, totally and absolutely ridiculous. What a waste of steel and money. Just what we need: another POS bloated "ooh look at me, I look paramilitary" useless space burner for insecure soccer moms and dads.

IMHO. :P

Is this really surprising? Typical dumbass US consumer thinks they need AWD, a watch tower to see over any and all traffic, enough cargo space for any potential stock piling missions, power to haul that future yacht and enough steel to protect from incoming SCUD missiles. Coupes are not big sellers thus they won't get the $$$. GM and Ford are paying consumers to buy most of their cars as it is.

Hah, they're putting a dirt bike in the back like its actually holding it and that this thing will take u offroad Think we have seen enough videos of the H2 getting busted on the trails.

That trunk is gonna hold nothing more then grocery bags just like the current H2.

Fucking pathetic how many stupid americans will line up to buy this junk. :fag:

Hummer's quality is worthless.
what i don't understand about these "SUTs" are you got a 3-4 ft bed. you can't haul a lot with 3-4 ft of cargo. to me what's the point of having a "pickup"(which i don't really concider it unless it atleast has a 5 or 6 ft bed) .

Personally I'm saving toward a new Nissan Titan Crew Cab 4x4.
which is a hell of lot cheaper than the H2 SUT and plus the quality better, better resale value, and better mileage.

The SUT is a limited production vehicle, all that counts is that GM will sell every one that it builds. Not to mention, I doubt you'll see too many soccer moms driving an SUT. If they are shopping for a Hummer, most will go for the more practical regular H2.

SUVs aren't going anywhere and I think this one looks cool, its going to be priced higher than the standard H2 (will have an upgraded interior). The people who buy these things for $50k+ generally have other cars. A vehicle like the SUT will just be another addition.

Sure did, of course its practical.....being large, getting shitty gas mileage, and being expensive doesn't make a vehicle impractical.

The H2 is perfect for all weather driving, can carry plenty of passengers and has room for most peoples shit.

I wouldn't buy one, but its not an impractical vehicle.

How is it impractical?....instead of blanketed statements explain why.

A Viper is impractical (no room for anything, tiny interior and large exterior, only a fair weather car, interior heats up to a million degrees, and has very little ground clearance).

it's not super impractical like a viper. but there are other vehicles in the catagory that are much more pratical than the H2. it does look cool though, can't deny that.

maybe excessive is a better description for the hummer, exept for it's cargo area. :o

A Pilot is a practical SUV. Heck, compared to an H2, an Explorer is a practical SUV. The H2 has horrendous economy, smallish cargo space for the size of the vehicle and costs so much very few buyers will use any of its utility. I don't see how that would be considered practical. IMO, it's probably the most impractical SUV on the US market.

if they made that in a pure truck form it would be sick. They make the H1 in a 2 door and bed configuration so why not this.

The H1 is also pointless for civilian use. It barely makes freeway speeds and it almost doesn't fit in a damn lane. If you need to climb a 60 degree grade to work everyday going over sand dunes then fine I can see a use for it. I know a few people who thought about buying one for their heavily forested properties but the thing won't fit in a logging road.

As for the H2 has anyone noticed the full sized spare in the back? That is really practical for storage space and visibility. And for a 6400 lb vehicle it still seats only 5. Don't tell me a errand runner that gets less than 10 mpg and has less space than a minivan is practical.

There are wagons that fit the bill much more 'efficiently'. I think Audi and Subaru have a some models out.
