How are Tirerack's prices

I'm getting close to a new set of tires. Does Tirerack have good places. I used their installer locator and by coincidence the place where I get my alignment done is on their list. So it would be convient to have the tires drop shiped to the shop and get everything done at once.

Yeah, I know Costco had good prices. But my dad came back from there once with 5 steel weights and serious scratches on his aluminum wheel on his Legend. If someome did that to my car I'm afraid I'd have to call in an airstrike. I'm especially concerned given that our stock Type S wheels have an unique lip where the metal meets the rubber. I'm hoping that my alignment shop will be more careful given that their an independent business instead of a big chain with employees just passing through.

I have only used them once, for winter wheels/tires. Great service, prices seemed good (a lot better than a local store by 20 to 35%). Delivery was as promised, and they give you an information manual that is quite informitive. 800 number line if you have any problems. Now if they would only carry RH's!!!

I there is a town fair tire near, check those guys. They ordred for me from tire rack my winter tire package, beated their price by $25, and did not charge me shipping. Their price included balancing and mounting too!

So, try price matching or better those 150% price difference garrantee.

Discount Tires in El Monte, CA (wheeloptions.com) also has good prices and wide selection of high quality rims. They are not your typical DTC. You should check them out as well.

For tires...they are ok. For rims, they are over priced.

The last 5 sets of tires I've purchased have been from the TireRack.

That goes back to 94'

GREAT prices & just about everyplace local is $40 to mount & balance. So I'm definitely ahead with the lower initial price & NO sales tax! Shipping isn't that much.
