How to spot good/bad welds?

Hey guys, I just got around to checking my headers I got from XSpower and wasn't sure about the welds on them. I'm not an expert welder, so I'm no critic, but if someone has some comments, I'd be greatful. Thanks.

Good welds looked like dimes layed over one another.

Nice example of Good welds. I bet the guy that laid that down doesn't work for minimum wage.

if they crack, 150$ almost makes them replaceable.............like changing socks. If you do the install work yourself of course imho
But yeah like you I didnt like the welds either..........but hey no resonance and for me being a former Megan guy I am happy as can be.

I'm sure they're fine, I'm not going to be pulling any stunts with my car. I don't race so...all I'd like from these is a little extra push every now and then when it's wanted/necessary. I was just concerned about some of the welds not being secure.

Problem with poor welds on the exhaust system is that since our motor mounts suck so bad, the more the engine torques the more stress on the shitty welds and why so many people experience cracks.

I found this in the TL forum here: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140232

the othere is a diesel mechanic and also agreed that they look like good quality and its not cheap stainless either
