How much was your 03' CL-S 6sp /w Navi?

Hi Guys,

I need to get a feel for what to expect when I go into the Acura dealership. I know the MSRP is $32,700 + $500 destination, but I want to see if they're letting it go for less than that. Last year when I was actively looking for a 02'...before I found out that they were going to the 6spd...this one dealership here in MD was going to give me a brand new 02' for like $31,500. I thought that was a good deal, but I would like to see what some of you guys paid.

Thanks!

I got pretty much everything you can get, minus the little accessories and it came to just over $35K. I also got some protection plan that probably wasnt necessary for like $500, so I would say mid $34's. Good luck getting them to drop the price though cause I heard this was the only year they are making the 6 speed.

Assuming you mean "hard to find"... only 2700 will be made this year.

brethrin...i dont think we have even 10 people on the board that own a 03 6-speed...let alone 100...

all the 100 views were from people that just wanted to read your thread...

how do u expect people to vote if they dont own a 6-speed?

i understand that...but i would go out on a limb and say it's more than 5. i really don't mean to be an a$$hole, but i really want one and i don't wanna pay too much for it. i thought this was a good way to find out when i should get up a leave if they are talking about something too high.

but thanks to those 5 people that did vote...i really do appreciate you input. are any of the few that voted from Maryland by any chance? i would like to know where you went...

Frank, I was quoted 1200 over invoice for a black w/o navi. It had chrome wheels & spoiler. He was giving me the Costco price for a CL-S although the 6speed wasn't on the plan. The car had 90 miles on it. He was offering this to keep me from heading to another dealer a ways away to get a white one, the color I was looking for. They didn't have any other CL-S's. The cars are scarce. ...dean

Frank,
If you are lucky, they will sell it to you under $35k, but most of the time taxes and all the little stuff adds up. Like I said before, I probably got some things that werent necessary, but since there are a limited amount being made and the possibility of this being the only year, they probably arent going to bend much on the price. I dont regret paying what I did for it cause I love the car.....I guess the only regret is that its not RWD.

I just ordered an Aegean Blue '03 CL-S 6 speed (no Navi) . I got a quote through Carpoint for $29,530 + Tax, Documentation and Title = $30,774.90. This is the out the door price. I'm scheduled to pick up the car on next Friday. It was a very painless process and only a 4 week wait.

I suggest finding a high volume dealer. My dealer claims to be getting two 6 speeds a month.

I got mine without navi, at sticker, they werent budging. I did get them to throw in the protection package (wheel locks, trunk tray, and mud flaps) for free. Only because i had another one on order from a another dealership. I really wish i had got navi cuz an aftermarket alpine is gonna costs me 2000+.

I hope that was with taxes and stuff. At most, a 5 speed auto should sell a few $100 over invoice.

I got my car from Tischer.

When looking around, make sure your not buying the test drive/demo car. Look for 20-30 miles on the clock.

Sounds like a lot of you are getting raped.

I payed $30,700 for my new 6 spd(out the door price including tax, title and destination) with the protection package thrown in for free!

I also used Carpoint's buying service. It's free and the dealers e-mail you quotes, no bullshit. Check it out.

Interesting that this thread has gotten so few replies. I'm guessing that not many members have '03 CL-S 6 speeds.

I think there are only about 20 of us lucky BASTARDS here.
I’m sure there are another 25 or so owners “lurking” who are afraid to sign up and post.

BTW.....I paid 33,500 for the car with everything but the kitchen sink installed.
That’s about 700 off retail according to the Acura Website.

today is a truly sad day

sorry guy...i'm the one that started the poll...and i come with some very disappointing news. i had a 2003 CL-S 6spd with Navi with 311 miles on it...and the guy was going to give it to me for $30,300 + tax & tags. now i'm no genius, but that sounds like a killer deal to me...do you guys think so? man i got talked the dude to take $200 off for it having over a hundred miles!

so, i'm all excited coming home because i know my wife is going to be happy for me because i found a brand new car that could easily go for $35k for $30k...and i've been wanting this car for like a year easy. i wish i could say that was the case, but i would be lying! we are expecting a little one in December...and that's truly a blessing, but i told her that we could afford the car and on top of that, i would pay for half the car note with my 2nd job money just to put her more at ease. needless to say, that didn't work either and now i have no idea what to do at this point because i'm so frustrated i had to come downstairs to post this. sometimes marriage has it's up sides, but this is certainly NOT one of them:'(

sorry for such a long post, but i'm really bummed out by this whole thing.

Frank, buddy, you scored a deal but maybe didn't clue the mrs. in on it. It's proably more shock than concern. One thing going for you is the safety and reliability of the car, also, you'll be able to drive it for a long time before major preventive maintenance. There's nothing worse than having a partner dash your optimism. Talk it out, work it out. You both are in this together. Work the numbers out on paper together to see that it's possible to still get it. Good luck. ...dean

Frank, also remember that women have completely different thoughts going through their head when they're expecting. They are thinking of physical, psychological and financial security and stability. Consider those feelings. Don't stretch yourself out too far where it becomes a stress point talking about it. You'll do the right thing. Good luck. ...dean
