My Durango tabs ended up costing me about $130 or so. Don't know what they'll end up being on my TLS. Yes it is supposed to be $35, but they get you on a bunch of other shit. Sure beats the hell out of ~$700 it would have cost me pre I-695. Thanks Tim Eyman!! (he's the guy that lobbied for the $35 license tabs here in WA)

The Supreme Court of WA realized that the legislature made a mistake in their interpretation of I-695. It stated that the statewide fee would be $35. Well all the DMV's across the state also dropped their county fees as well. Well it turns out that the county fees are STILL IN EFFECT and in fact when you renew you licence tag there is a possibility of having to pay back taxes on what they did not collect in the years previous. This state can be seriously dumb some times.

Registration: $15.00
State Tax: $113.32
County Tax: $41.80
School Tax: $147.31
Fire Dept. $25.18
Total: $342.61
The tag's cheap. It's the damn school tax that gets us.
