i got my salvaged 01 cl-s for 7500, it has 03 conversion with eibach springs and some other lil things. Very flawless considering it was prob in a crazy accident but drives like new.
I saw your ad on craigslist, good luck!

20" rims = minus cash
Salvage title = would not pay more than 60% of car's value and I would get it inspected before I bought it.
Salvage title = Void extended auto trans warranty so you are SOL on that one

Our cars are hard to sell in the first place, and your car will only peek the interest of a couple people because first:
20 inch rims, only a few people would really like this look vs stock.
second: On top of it all, only certain people would consider a salvage title vehicle.
GOod luck wit the sale.

I know the fact hurts, but when I bought my car, I knew I couldent sell it, and bought it with the intention to drive it for a long time and not claim insurence or get rid of it.
If I was you (this is what I will do myself later) I would pay for an oil jet kit (if its not too expensive, i havent gotten a quote yet)
My car was listed for 9 or even more but it was obvious eventhough the car was in very nice condition, people worent checking it out, honestly, I think if I tried, I could of gotten it for even less than what i payed (7500).
I wish you best of luck and if you decide to really get it off for extremely extremely cheap, I have a buyer for you (since we're both in the bay)
Happy new year

Hey man, I have dropped more into my car than you and it is in prestine condition also. It is an 01 NBP with every bolt on and it has a completely clean title with NAVI also and I wouldnt expect more than 10K for it.
I am just being honest when I say that you would probably only get 6-7K.

The only time it is worth buying a salvage titled car is if you plan on keeping it for a long time to get a lot of use out of it. You might as well keep it and drive it until it quits IMHO.
Most people usually do not pay more than 50% for a salvage titled car even if it has been "properly" reconstructed...... Go get your car appraised first tell them title is clean and afterwards you tell them title is salvage rebuild.

We've have people here buy 03 6spds with CLEAN titles for 13K... like 15 months ago (so they'll be even cheaper now):
https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/line-output-converters-174853/
A nationwide search for 01 CL's under $10K got 83 hits... with an average price of $8800.
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/search...C&keywordsrep=
I'm afraid to see what my one owner (me) 03 6spd w/ a clean title and 55K miles is worth...

lol, thats my car buddy, I bought it a couple of days ago
7500!
u seam like a rather inexperienced buyer, eventhough I'm younger
this is my 4th car (1st salvaged), I allways buy cars for very good deals and am able to sell cars for decently more then you would ever expect. You have to know what you want and pursaude others into what you want them to believe.
(HEY ACURA ! let me be a dealer for you ! )
Anyways, this car looks very nice and even has your personal touch, do you really want to get another one, I doubt you can get anything that looks this nice with its power for some measly 7-8k. Just drop a couple of dollars on the oil jet kit or whaever ( I dont know maybe a transmission shop could get u a better quote then acura)
this is my opinion
good luck with the outcome of whatever you chose
I'm in love with my car and know I couldent of gotten anythin close to it for the money

I believe, it prolongs ur tranny and makes it so the 2nd gear problem doesent happen
I think it is what the acura dealership would do if ur car is a clean title and you dont have a problem just want to make sure shit doesent happen
I'm very new to this, its just what I read
MODS please correct me if I'm wrong
I'm going to go to a dealership this week and I'll let you know what kind of optiones we have

Since KBB and Edmonds do not evaluate a salvage titled car, you need to determine it's worth. If you were to get into an accidenet with full coverage on a salvage titled car, you won't get squat for it. You need to have it appraised so you know how much you can realistically expect for it when you try to sell it.

This link helps with recalls- https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/SEO/AcuraRecall.asp
I had the 1st to 2nd shift issue recently, took it to the dealer, they looked up my VIN and 5 days later, I had a brand new transmission for ZERO dollars. Yes, ZERO dollars and they even gave me a 2006 TL while I waited... fucking sick ass car.
I have no clue if they'd do this for a salvage but, the factory warranty goes to 100k miles or 7 years if your car qualifies. I don't see how Acura would know if your car is salvage by looking up the VIN so it's worth a try.
I myself am trying to sell my 2001 non salvage for $15500. A brand new tranny should be VERY helpful.

If you experience what I was experiencing, you'll know when the tranny goes wrong. Very nasty stutter jolt type sensation between 1st and 2nd. Supposedly, it can lock the tranny which can cause an accident.

FUNK THAT!... I TAKE OFFENSE...
Just kidding. I miss typed. I have it listed for $14500. That price is because of the following:
1 month old Nitto performance tires that are sitting on relatively new 18" rims, new brakes, and the new tranny. Plus, there are TONS of others who are selling their 2001 CL S (and some non S) for the same amount or more. With that considered, along with me not being in the slightest hurry it's a reasonable price.
