Been doing some personal budgeting (gotta rationalize the mods!), and I just looked back over my CC statements... $612 in the last 6 months... just over $100/mo. I've averaged 1525 miles/month. Ow.

$228.67 from February 1st to March 1st.

And I was out of the country for 5 days in February. So I would say usually $200-$250 a month.

Lotta driving for work, plus a 60+ mile roundtrip commute each day if I go to the office.

Thank God for mileage reimbursement.

I have to fill up every 4 days (work in Jersey City, NJ and live in Westchester, NY)...at $25 approx a fill...I'm looking at close to $187 a month. I need to find a new job!!!

Methodoligy: 30 days to mth / 4 days btw fill up = 7.5 times/mth
7.5 x $25 = $187.50

About $100. :o

It's going to get worse.. the price for gas is going to be over $2 for just regular!!

Civic hybrid looks very tempting right about now...

Generally new cars don't get nearly as good gas mileage....after a few thousand miles, your mileage should improve.

every 5 days at current gas prices is about $40 to $43 for a full tank, so in a month $240 to $260. every tank i reach about 300 to 320 miles too.

First off, do you guys put regular or premium in to your car? I have a 2001 CL-S and I've always used premium, which costs a little under $2 a gallon here in Chicago. Could I use just regular octane gas and still have the same performance? Using premium, I generally spend less than $200 a month, but I have a 40 mile round trip journey to work.

The manual recommends 91 or higher....I always used premium on my CL....and now my G35 requires premium too.

about $100 now but it's going to skyrocket soon. Just got offered a job that will increase my commute from 38 miles roundtrip to over 80. Oh well, I'll be making a lot more money so who cares
