Just getting ready to throw away my 2001 Acura CL-S buying report, but figured I'd post what I know for you guys! I paid a "leading consumer magazine" for this report...
Total Dealer Invoice (w/destination charge) for the CL and CL type S respectively:
$25,988 and $28,128. With the 2% Holdback of base MSRP that they get (assuming the car hasn't sat on the lot for too long) their wholesale price or cost is : $25,428 and $27,521. The Navigation system invoice is $1822.
Prices on dealer "accessories" such as the spoiler are tricky since the costs aren't given on these items.
Hope you potential buyers find this useful.

With all these people buying Acura CL's how much is the going price to sell a used one? I have heared the resale value is less than $24k for a 01 Type S... scary thought when I want to trade my baby in 3 years for a RWD 320 hp Type S 6 speed....

29,000 before tax and destination, free tint. great car but make sure you get navi, it's worth it, take off the front plate as soon as you get it or it will scratch your bumper, good luck!

Paid $28,800 for a CL-S non navi with spoiler in 2/01. Put $15,500 down. With 7.75% finance charge for 60 months it comes out to $32,400.

I leased my CL-S...non navi, for $420/month. $1000 down. Love the car....still had all the plastic on it and only 1 mile on it when i test drove it.

Paid $27498 before tax (6% in PA)for PDG CL-S w/o navi in June of 2000. This included the wheel locks, mudguards and the extended warranty (7 yr 100K).

Caddy, How do you avoid the sales tax?? In Arkansas, it doesn't matter if the seller is an individual or dealer. You still pay the sales tax and can't get it licensed if you don't.

I paid 31000 with navi, wheel locks, spoiler, mudguards, and touch of class pkg.... I purchased it a month ago, and I already have almost 3000 miles on it. 
Only problem so far is the rattling/squeaking moonroof.

Got a Silver Type S non-nav for $27,629 before tax/lisc fee. I called a dealer and said I wanted it for $500 under dealer invoice and he said okay. Next day, I was driving home in an Acura!
