how long did you wait before getting your suspension upgraded?

I am very tempted right now to get the comptech springs and sway bars. But I have only had my car for 1 months, with just over 1500 miles on it. Should I wait a little longer (say at 7500 miles) before putting down another $1k+? Does it make a difference?

Also, I was reading through the posts and seems like most of you guys kept the stock shocks when changing to new springs... any reason you didn't get the aftermarket stocks?

thanks.

it's never too early to swap the springs. some owners got an alignment right after dropping their car. i chose to wait a few weeks just in case the car needed to settle. as for shocks, i didnt make the change because there was no specific true coil-overs for the cl. i still think there aren't any. many owners have opted to just use full coil-overs meant for accord v-6s. i dont think any of them have run into problems. koni's work too...

I've got almost 7k now and will probably be putting on new springs and sways in about a month. I'm shopping around right now for a good deal on labor, which seems tough to find. autocarparts.com seems to have the best prices on the Comptech springs and sways.

Had my sways/springs changed at 7000 miles...only because the "Finance Minister" allowed me to do it at that time

SliverESS: The sways made a huge difference. More so than the springs; although springs made a difference too compared to stock. Car is firmer/stiffer, but not go-cart like stiffness. More like 5 Series stiffness/firmness.

Unbelievably different. I'm stealing some quotes here but these are true about the suspension upgrade:

"Acura should have made the car handle like this from the begining"

"The OEM sways look like toys when compared to the Comptech sways"

I got mine done 6 months after I bought the car. Now that would make it about 5 months to late.
