How likely that I damaged my wheel
How likely that I damaged my wheel
Few days ago I had an incident of tire shop forgetting to tighten up bolts on one of my rear wheels. The tire was pretty lose, bolts where only turned few spins. I drived total of less than 1 mile with a 30mph speed or less before I came back.
There was no visiable damage to the wheel, no scratches inside/outside. Bolt rods are not bent, and everything looks good from inside and outside.
I've asked someone to watch the wheel as I drive, it spins even just like all other wheels.
My question:
Is it possible that there is a damage that is not noticable, but damage exists? I am worried that there might be something wrong with my wheel, eventhough there are no signs.
I should have asked for incident report in case some problem happens later.... but i guess its to late now...

Why is it too late to get an incident report? I would go down there and ask for one, they should know who you are. If not, then they are probably just getting you confused with the dozen other peoples' wheels they forgot to tighten. It sounds like your fine, but if your worried take your car to a place where they straighten rims and have them check the specs.

I could ask Acura dealership to examine it, but they will probably charge me big $$ to do that.
I'll try to stop by and make them write me an incident report that I can use in case I find out something is wrong later...
Yeah thats what I mean, something to go back on in case. If you were going to the dealer have the tire place reimburse you for the inspection, I doubt Acura would know a considerable amount about examining the structure of the wheel though.
