how do you know if you have clear coat?

how do you know if you have clear coat?
I was planning to get the Zaino Z1 and Z2. Is clear coat something that already comes with the 2001 CLs'. Or is it something that you have to special order at the dealer.

Clear coat has been standard on all cars for a long, long time.
