I was told that after the fact that my friend messed with it. He just turned it one turn I think. What could this mess up?

why would u mess with the idler screw. now ur wasting more gas while idling. i dont see a point in doing that.

My friend that had a TL at the time did it to mine. I wasn't aware at the time of what it actually did (fail on my part). I'll set it back this afternoon probably.

are you sure he didn't tighten the throttle cable

youd would get better throttle response and it would probably appear louder, do to you not having to push the gas down as far to accelerate and the RPMs going up quicker compared to before (I dont know if that made sense) LOL

what is it idling at now? if its pretty normal then i would just leave it.

Im not saying too do it im asking if thats what he tightened

Ive never looked at this on the CL but when my maxima had 250 000 miles on it , it had alot o slack in it and I tightened it but It was a bicth to do

Ok, if theres slack I can understand that, even though the correct procedure is replacing the throttle cable.

I checked my idle RPM. It's sitting at 800RPMs right now.

normal is 750 give or take 50 rpm. its higher when the engine is cold. you should measure the idle rpm with no eletrical load but it sounds normal.

after i put my CAI on when i hit high rpms it makes a hella loud deep sound is that vtec engaging? and sometimes it sounds like its whistling?

Deep noise? Check your VTEC fluid, might be low.
