Hood and trunk lining

is there some sort of trick to romving the covering on the underside of the hood and trunk lid? I tried just pulling but it feels like I'm gonna break the anchors.

Pull hard, they'll snap out and back into place, they won't break, at least my cover and snaps did.

Use the back of a hammer to pry the anchors up.
