Honda S2xxx Coupe on the way
In that same Road and Track mag with the Z06/350Z/M3/911 test there was a section confirming that a coupe (hard top) version of the S2000 will be available later this fall. It will be called the S2200 (we have been hearing rumors for a year now for this) and it will make 250HP. It did have a small picture which showed some differences on the design as well. The front looked more curvy. Overall more exciting I would say.

I read that last night.
The author of that column was actually an editor of C&D. I thought those were still rumors. The picture was obviously photoshopped as well.

Well, I'm assuming that if it's an S2200 then it will be a 2.2 liter (at 250hp you say?). In that case, Honda's dropping the ball. The S2000's biggest claim to fame is the highest hp per liter of any normally aspired I4 engine at 120hp/liter. Now a 250hp from a 2.2 is still great at 113.64hp/liter, it's just not the same. If they're going with the 2.2 I was hoping they'd have atleast 264hp. (I know this is throwing torque out the window again, but it's still a fast car)
