Holy Shiznits! I'm exhausted!
I just read through the 10 page Shawn S thread. First of all, I posted "Another one bites the dust". I haven't been here much lately because all the posts seem to be about stuff I'm not interested in. I don't want springs, headers, or anything of the like. I don't think I have ever been anything but respectful of anyone elses ride. Hell, I love cars (I now have 6 vehicles registered to me!)
This place would become boring if it were just a love fest for CL's. I have had my CL-S since April 2001. It has been 37 months. I have 2 months remaining on my lease (That's the reason I'm not interested in too many mods). I understand perzactly why Shawn S loves his. Any rear wheel drive car will not work for him. He lives in PA and has had enough snow to start his own ski resort!
I have the luxury of an old Exploder to drive when the wet stuff freezes so it doesn't matter if I have rear wheel or anything else. My experience with the CL-S has been great. My dealer I bought it from was TERRIBLE. Thank God for Park Avenue Acura! They brought me back into the fold.
Hating the CL? I don't think so, homey! But my 39 months is up soon and I want to experince something else. BTW. My GF wants my Acura!
Me leave? Why? Who says I have to go anywhere?

I believe that what Shawn's thread was asking for was that the threads here should have some relevance to the Acura CL. If somebody wants to do a comparison (without it being done purely to bash the car), advise us that they have decided to go another route, we can live with that. But, when the thread is a survey about how many people own a non CL, or a comparison of cars (neither of which is a CL), then I think it is out of place. And I guess that applies to this thread also? YMMV (and probably does)..

im proud to say my baby turns 3 years old next month...only 26K on her too
im in that inbetween area where im thinkin of what car to have next, yet im still thinkin of modding my baby too (powdercoating, stereo, Koni's)...altho i'm not exactly happy with how fellow owners have been treated, whether it's tranny problems or certain dealerships ripping people off, i refuse to take for granted there ARE people out there lookin out for us, such as PAA, and that leaves a somewhat neutral taste in my mouth if i'm interested in another Honda/Acura product in the future...can't tell the likelihood, but i'd rather keep my options open at this point
just my opinion tho

I'm on the other end of the spectrum,,,in six months my CL-S will be payed for and have about 60k miles on it,, I have slowly modded it over the last 2.5 years, next are stone headers if they ever get here. So for me it will liven up the car,, I'm already considering SC at the 100k mark just to make the next 100k more interesting,,
