Holy Cow...I'm ashamed.... A C U R A
I went to pick up my truck last night and I followed my girl friend in my CL back home. I was looking at the back end and wondering if the exhausts were still uneven.....they're aren't. But then I started to look at the A C U R A across the trunk lid. It looks uneven. When I got home I got out a tape measure and sure enough the driver side "A" is 1/2" higher than the passenger side "A". I never noticed this before (cuz I never follow my own car). It took my 37 months to notice it. Oops!

i honestly think that acuras dont come from the factory with the badges because the placement of the badges seems VERY different on alot of cars...especially the alignment and the height of the "ACURA" on the trunk. my CL-S had that all out of wack, one reason why i debadged it. but it seems every CL-S i see has the "ACURA" on the trunk at a different distance from the logo. another reason i think that the badges dont come installed from the factory is in case the buyer wants the gold package, that would create double work for the dealer and open the door to some nit-wit lot boy scraping up the trunk while taking off the silver badges and all the associated adhesive.

Unless its done in transit, its done at the factory. The dealers do not touch that. I have seen them loaded right off the truck with the wrapping, and they had the badges on them.
Also, ones that you might see different are possibly because the car was wrecked and it wasn't put back in the first place in the correct position.

Yea, they're on there when the dealer gets them. Sloppy work I guess, no less than the misaligned trunklids and doors I see on lots of the new Acuras on the lot. I guess they don't put much time into it.
