hole in AEM CAI
hi
i bought the CL-S with the intake installed already. I took it off the mount yesterday to get at the IACV, and reinstalled as well. I was driving and heard a 'clunking' noise, and i narrowed it down the the intake rubbing/bouncing on sheet metal. i felt the area and there is a large (3"x0.5") slit there. i'm assuming the previous owner did that but i never noticed. what should i do ?
1. Bend it back out inside and tape the outside?
2. Cut it and convert to SRI?
I am not buying a new intake.

use a small piece of duct tape. i removed my nos from my cai when i had my integra and obviously had to cover the whole where the hose went. i used duct tape and never had any problems or noticable loss of power. also depending on what color u have, i had grey intake, it may even sorta match and not look too bad. if you dont have grey i would find a firend who plays hockey and ask them for a small piece of Renfrew hockey tape. its used for taping on hockey socks to shin pads but its awesome. it better than duct tape plus its clear, waterproof, plastic and real nice. if u know any ask him for a little piece or go to a hockey store in your area. its only sold in hockey venues but its mltifunctional and i always end up using it for random shit. haha its stopping a small leak in my trunk right now.
good luck

Id use a silicone connector sleeve (like whats used to connect the cai to the TB) and clamp that over the hole
