you do know that stock HID bulbs put out more light than 6000K and 7000K bulbs, right?

From those pics, I would choose the 6000k prism white.

Any comparison pics of that 6000k vs. the 6000k Philips Ultinon?

Remember that the higher you go the less light output there is.

actually that site has them for 145 each so a set would be 290 dollars unless you can get them to us for 200 shipped like Juice

seems like those pics (the first set) were taken at the exact same time with maybe 3-5 mins difference.... so how did u change all the bulbs so fast?

Cant tell much difference for them either... even the stock look purple-ish

If that's the case why would anyone pay to downgrade and limit your visibility? Seems like giving up safety for nothing!!!

fahoumh is right, the stocks HID's put out a higher number of lumens than the 6000K and above light's. the higher the number in degrees kelvin the bulb is rated at the more blue it is and the less light you get.

so if you are ok with your headlights not being bright and instead just blue go for it. if not, you're either asking for a ticket from a cop, or your ability too see farther at night will be reduced.

HIDs are bright as it is...with the 6000k there is a sacrafice of like 10-15% visibility. It's still better than halogen. Also the 6000k have a nice color to it.

I'm keeping stock headlights; giving up 10-15% visibilty may be the difference in saving your ass in a close call.

i have the phillips 6000k's. that 10-15%, if it is that much, is NOT noticable.

and 10-15% loss on HIDs will NEVER mean the difference between saving your ass in a close call or not, especially considering they're about 50% brighter than 90% of the cars on the streets with halogens.

With every item comes a trade off, i mean look at spoilers on civics and integra's, do rear spoilers help a FWD car? not as much as a RWD. But people still get em.

All i'm saying is that maybe these lights aren't for everyone. there are those that like the functional end, others who like the show end.
