HID question...

Guys, I have been wondering about this for a long while... is it possible to make our HID lights brighter? not bluer, but brighter just like the ones on Lexus.. I noticed our HIDs are a little pale when compared to the HIDs on Lexus.

6k will make the light bluer, not brighter. 5k and above would be dimmer than the stock.

I don't think you can really make your HIDs any brighter...think of diminished returns.

Exactly, I think ballast is what I should look into. I know for the fact that our HID light bulbs are not different from the ones on Lexus, so ballast must be the issue.

all the ballast on oem vehicles are identical, just different manufactures. However, there's a company that makes a 50watt ballast over the 35 watt ballast.

I occassionally get flashed for the bright HIDs. I don't think the general population can stand them brighter. Perhaps you just want a slight reaiming? I've raised the passenger side slightly so as to see road signs better.
