help should I sell my cl-s :-(

I was offered 15k cash for my cl-s and i think the car is worth around 17K. What do yall think? Is 15K a far price?

I'd be patient. I spent $12,500 for an '01 Autotragic, non-navi CL-S with 5x,xxx miles, I think you can get more.

Tell him he can take it home for 15,750 cash, it's the bargaining world, he doesn't expect his lowest price to be what he gets it for. If he doesn't want to spend that extra $750, wait for someone who will, I've regretted taking that lower cash offer on a few cars already.

BUT, if you're really looking for a quick sale, and 15k will give you adequate funds for your next move, then take it. Either way, good luck

6mt, navi, & 46K miles? $17K is fare. $15k is way low.

Honestly, I don't know what the market is like in AL, but I think you should hold out. Even at $17k its a helluva deal! I paid $16,500 for my CLS6 Anthracite with 65k miles earlier this year. It was very well taken care of and I live in Cali, so the price is a little higher. IMO, hold out for at least $16500 - if you post it at 19k, you may get offers for 17k.

$15 is too low... especially since you have navi and only 46K miles...

I'd want at least $15K in a private sale for my 6spd and it's got 61K miles.

But the Autotrader ad clearly states: MUST SELL!!! If that wasn't listed in the ad, then the low ball offer probably would not have been made.

If you are itching to get rid of the car, I would have done the same thing and low balled you to get the car. Take out the MUST SELL, and the reason and hold out if you really need the additional 2K and can wait for another buyer.

Or... Contact who made you the offer can se what he/she can do get closer to what you are looking for. If the buyer really wants your car, he/she would step up.

yea I really wasn't planning on selling it less than 16,9k and that would be a damn good price, I thought. One of my friends were telling me to take the 15k.

Change the wording in your ad, and another buyer should come along and make you a reasonable offer.

Good Luck with the sale.

I usually get 22-23mpg, mostly 'cause I've got a heavy right foot... But on a long trip can easily hit 26mpg... When I went to the RonJon Meet in NJ last august (driving from MA) I was up to almost 30mpg...

If you really need to sell it, maybe compromise and tell the buyer you'd go to 16 or 16.5

I'd buy it for $16,000. I'm not too far from you. I'm in Atlanta.

I can't believe you're thinking about selling for $15K! That's insane. I bought my '03 CL-S with 85K miles for $15K, no navigation, and 6-speed.

Personally, I try and get him to $16k and take it.. I paid $18.5k 2 years ago from a dealer for mine with 49k miles. Unless you find a determined buyer who's looking for your particular car, it could be a while before you get over $17k.

Just my opinion.

No Nav, but I wasn't really looking for that option either..

Good luck with the sale, I know how frustrating it can be sometimes. Maybe the CL market is better than i expected!

well the ad says $17,600 but I would take $16,900. The navi is a $2k option. You are right though it only makes a difference if they are looking for navi.

15 is low... 16-17 would be good enough. remember that they will haggle it down EVEN MORE once they test drive it.. etc etc.
