Help Please! CAI Installing Question

I need you guys help, I just finish cutting my CAI and I was looking at the hoses that needed to be connected. I am confused with the hoses coming from the front of the enging that has another hose connecting along with it. Sorry, but I do not know my parts. I am suppose to disconnect that, but the question is about the out hose that is suppose to run along it? AEM just comes with the 2 hoses, what am I suppose to do? Can I cut one the hose I took out and connect it the going the other way? Thanks.

yes you will remove that whole thing. u dont need it. you will reuse the hose that comes out of the breather assembly. its the connector that faces towards the back of the car on the aem.

The 2 hoses it comes with replace that piece u removed. u need to remove the top plastic piece from the engine so u can see where the other hose goes.

i hope this helps

Still alittle confuses. I think I know what you are talking and I think I know what to do, but I want to make sure so I do not mess up my car. Okie let me see if I am doing this right...you take the big hose coming from the breather assembly and connector that faces towards the back of the car on the aem.
Then the hoses that was running along it, I would reuse the hose and connect that back into th enging in the back. Right?

hmmm, the hard 2 hose piece in the front of the car will not be reused. the big hose the kit comes with goes from the front of the car to the connector on the bottom of the aem.

the hose u unhooked from the breather assembly u will take that little brass connector out and attach the hose the the aem - facing the rear of the car.

the other hose connects 2 parts of the car together - its doesnt get attached to the aem.

I know that and I should of been alittle clearier. What do I do with the other outlet, where the hose that was ran along the breathe assembly is deattached? Is that better?

Okay the one that has 2 a small solid tube and 1 long thick tube has to be removed. This has to replaced by the 2 hoses supplied by AEM

The Thick one is the breather hose that goes from the engine block to the CAI. The second hose ( water coolant )will go from a connector pointing up behind the engine block and goes to the Throtle body to cool it down. Throtle body connector is pointing up too.

Is it better now ?

hmmm.... unfortunately, I'm not real clear on what the "parts" are called either, but I do know that both Nashua and Rymnrsn are explaining things correctly!! Some key points that have been said:

** The small crooked gray hose goes into the small outlet on the AEM (this one was pointing towards the passenger compartment of the car). This is the only stock hose that connects to the AEM intake pipe.

** The larger hose supplied by AEM connects from the larger opening on the AEM to the block of the engine underneath the valve cover where the 2-piece hard connector used to go.

** The smaller of the two AEM-supplied hoses doesn't connect to the AEM intake pipe itself at all. This is probably the confusing part. It replaces one side of the small hard hose and it goes to the opposite side of the engine underneath the intake pipe. You have to follow where the stock hose went to be sure you're connecting it to the proper place (this is a coolant hose).

** You remove several of the stock hoses. At first it's confusing because on the stock intake, there are 4 hoses connected, but only 2 hoses connect to the AEM intake.

Hopefully you're not more confused now. Email me your phone number and maybe I can talk you through it.

Thanks Gold...I think I got it. You answer the question about the coolant hose that you had to follow it back to the original location.
