help misfires. (got codes)
Ok so i got back from sacramento and my car started misfiring.
Here are the codes any help would be wonderful:
P0301- misfire cylinder 1
P0302- misfire cylinder 2
P0303- misfire cylinder 3
P0304- misfire cylinder 4
P0305- misfire cylinder 5
P0306- misfire cylinder 6
P0300- Random multiple cylinder misfire
P1607- ECM/PCM internal circuit failure.
My ECM has always been messed up after I had it for about 1 month and misfire codes have never popped up until now. I seafoamed and changed the oil. My only other choice is replacing the ECM and see if i still have misfires and if i do then ill replace all 6. Thanks for the help in advance.

Did it just misfire once or is it still doing it
(I know this wont solve the problem but unplug the battery see if they come up again) and if your looking for a new ECM you should ask one of the guys that wrecked there CL
also have you taken it to the dealer to see what they think you should do because my 93 cadillac eldardo had no heat they told me it was the heater core and I siad OK as long as it fixes the problem it didnt but I got them to fix the problem free of charge after that

well the reason why my ecm has always been f'd up is because the previous owner pre-ran the sub woofer lines. i thought it was legit but later on found out he hooked the remote line to the fan switch. it then back fired (i was running too big of an amp) to the ecm. then for awhile my car was at a shop because it wouldnt start and found out it was the ecm. i bought a replacement from a salvage yard and had it reprogrammed by the dealership. unsuccessful they told me the ecm is defected get another one but they can get my car to start but the check engine will always be there. well back to topic still misfiring same codes ran them again and again. Could all 6 coils be bad? bad gas?

Ha ha
I dont think that all your coils are gone unless your last ecm fryed them
so what your saying he hooked an after market amps remote wire to your fan?
which fan exactly?
and you blew the circuit on your amps remote ??
Oh as far as the dealer ? saying that the check engine light will always be on. They didnt do it right

Hmm. I had the same problem with
Y 03 cl-s. The master tech where I work said that it's a common problem for the rear coils on hondas to go out. I don't know if thy just collect more moisture back there or what, but it's a problem. I actually never replaced any coils, I used a volt meter to check the primary and secondary side voltage on all coils, and never had a problem after that.

yea the coils will go out but i dont see all 1,2,3,4,5,6 of them going out all at once. btw this is my second ecu already the first one was destroyed because of the remote wire it was hooked onto the fan switch. the fan switch gets the signal from the ecu thats why it backfired. but now im on my second ecu they did it with a HDS scanner and so did my boy. Btw when you reprogram with an HDS scanner you need to get the pin # from the dealership its a random 4 digit number that changes daily and without the pin # you cant reprogram the ecu.

Go and pick up one coil pack and replace one coil at a time. Run the car for a while and check to see if the codes come back.
Oh and disconnect the negative battery terminal before you swap out the coil.

to make sure check the coil packs like they siad if there bad and your going to do the ecu anyways do them at the same time I have a strong feeling that these to problems could be related
why would he hook the remote wire up to the fan ( did the amp only go on when the fans were on ) why not an ignition wire under the dash. This is the wierdest thing I have ever heard I cant under stand the logic behind this .??????
