Help: Bent rim and tire bubble - how bad does it look?

Was washing the car today and noticed one of my rims is slightly bent, and there's a bubble in my tire nearby.

I'm in the process of replacing/repairing the rim in the near future, but how bad does this look? I don't feel anything wrong in the steering wheel when I drive. How safe is this to drive for the next week or so?

Thanks!

Jay

I'd replace the tire if I were you. The tire may never have a problem for the rest of its useful life, but you surely don't want to find out when it does give out.

Ask a tire/rim shop if the rim can be straightened...hopefully, it will still hold a bead.

Good luck.

if its a small bend, don't worry about it. Get that bubble fixed asap. No telling how long it will last.

Thanks guys - I'll go to the tire shop first thing in the morning and get their opinion on the rim - and replace the tire ASAP.

Cheers!

If you don't want to get a new tire immediately, move that tire to the rear and keep an eye on the bubble. The bubble may decrease in size if you lower the air pressure to 32psi (if you run your psi high).

I had a bubble last week, moved my rim/tire to the rear, and the bubble nearly went away!!
