I just came back from seeing this movie tonight @ Woodfield.. Anyways the scene outside was hilarious..plenty of ricers and posers peeling out and shit... it was so gay. I wont ever doubt again that Schaumburg has been impacted by the import "scene."

Anyways, so I get out of the theatre area and I'm on 53. I'm driving minding my own business...and I see a 3 series in front of me slowing down.... I have 3 ppl in my car and I could tell that he had a few people. I come up to him and he lines up... I thought this was going to be an interesting race because I wanted to see what my car can do in the road ahead which was really twisty.

I thought to myself that I never really appreciated my tires/sways/and springs... The Bimmer had a decent head start and I expected him to smoke me on the twists until we got to the straight portion of the road....but I totally overtook this guy..I was amazed how well I did! I pushed my car to it's limits! I really respect BMW and their handling ability. This guy was just a sucky driver...but it was dope showing him up anways. His car was probably thinking "Drive you fuckin pussy!"

Finally the twistys ended and we got to a stop light...as soon as it hit green we both took off ("DAMN..I kept my VSA on"). But it didnt matter..we were head to head & it seemed like a few seconds....but I just kept on pulling on him and eventually he was smoked... I eventually put on my blinkers to signal the kill and we met up at the next stop light...when he caught up to me.

We rolled down our windows....first reaction: "What the fuck do you have in the car!?!" Ya'll know how good that feels when someone says that to you! They had 4 ppl all together in their car. I asked him, what do you got? He said he just put in an exhaust. I asked if he had a 330, he nodded. But I let him drive away and noticed his car was debadged....I suspect a 323 auto. There is no way I did this well against a 330.

it was fun....road was open...no civilians around.

 

Actually, even if it was a 330 auto you could have done that well. Twisty road driving is 90% driver and 10% car. I've seen a Civic EX sedan with 17s HUMILIATE an ITR at an autocross. It's ALL about the driver....

I also had some fun this weekend going through twisties with my friends ('98 Viper GTS, '96 Viper GTS, '99 C5 Vette, '00? Trans AM WS6 w/ my '98 540i/6)

I smoked the vette and T/A through the twists but those damn Vipers! I couldn't even see the two of them anywhere in front of me until we hit a stop light and then went back to do it all over again. Did this 3 times. Trac. control was kept on the whole time.

Also, raced a S2000 on the freeway this past Sat. Pulled on him hard from about 55 to 100 MPH until I hit traffic in my lane and pulled off.

Then got behind him and I wasn't in the right gear for the speed I was going and he nailed it and I downshifted into the right gear (3rd) and took pursuit. This time however we stayed even for about 5 seconds until I started to gain some ground. I think he must have before been in the upper end of VTec range.

I flashed my lights at him to show respect and say 'Good Race'.
