Heated Seats question

I was wondering if on the '01 CL-S the back portion of the seats is heated as well as the bottom.

thanks in advance

lol......I remember in my previous car (1999 Pontiac Gran Prix GTP), my seat heaters wore thru the leather on my way to work, and they would not shut off! BURNED THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF MY ASS! I had to take off my shirt & sit on it the rest of the way. Then I had to stop and buy a towel for the ride home before I could get time to remove the fuse.....what a freakin time that was!

Search "Heated Seats".....there is a DIY on how to re-solder the wires back together. Looks pretty easy. If you cant find it, lemme know

actually it looks pretty tough. its easy once you get the seat out. The seat is pretty big and weighs like 800 pounds because of the leather, the padding and like 2 electric motors, gears and such and the air bag and SRS system.

you can also replace the whole pad but my dealer charges like 130 for it.

i don't know if people are inherently weak or something. the seats weight at most 60lbs, probably closer to 50lbs. take the headrest off and it's easy to take out.

have you taken them out before?

even pushing the seat back after a rear passenger gets in, you can tell they are pretty solid.

It's heavy then because there's the spring that flips the seat forward working against you.
