Heated Seat Question

It may be my imagination, but when I got my 03 CLS I noticed that the seat back and well as the seat was heated. This was different than my 01… now I find that only the seat heats up. Was it my imagination that the back heated up as well? Can anyone confirm that the back is supposed to heat up as well?

No, not your imagination. The back of the seat heats up as well only on the driver's side seat. Probably that element has gone bad. I make a habit of only having the seat on until it's comfortable. I don't leave it on for hours trying to get some sort of heat therapy out of it.

The heated seats in the newer Acura's aren't any better. IT takes them forever to warm up....I am driving a 07 TL while my CL is in the shop and that seat is worse than mine....

Thanks guys... glad that is not my imagination about the back ever working. Mine heats up pretty fast (borttom) and gets hot, so I really only have it on for a few minutes. A friend of mune took his TL in to the stealer and was charged $450 Can to get the driver's seat fixed. Whe I had my 01 I found the hi/low setting useless as the low was essentially off.
