headers, exhaust & removed resonator? little help.

anobody with headers, exhaust and removed resonator have that famous humming UFO noise at idle? It sounds like its coming from the stock airbox and it feels like it it when I put my hand on it. I am going to put in a CAI but want to clear this up before any other mods. its so load at idle that people ask me if there is something wrong with my car. fellow board member lou used to have removed resonator and had no humming noise. yet he didn't have Headers or exhaust. Thanks

Rondog to make the car even more quiet than stock Im afraid the Ice-box is your best solution. Next time we meet Ill show you what Im talking about the car is absolutely quiet at idle...that resonance was a problem Comptech was having from the begining and part of the reason it took them forever to release this product. I for one am very glad they perfected this product because you can tell that it was specifically designed for our cars.

dude, put in your damn headers and cop some exhaust. comptech with quiet tip inserts would be right up your alley. You gotta come down here when it warms up, I wanna put in the AEM!
