Sweet. I said I wasn't gonna mod it cause it's a DD but I think I'm gonna have to pickup a pair of headers and see what it does for the MPG.

To the guys who are just getting the XSPower Headers......

There were some complaints about resonation from them. As a solution some folks used header wrap over the flex pipe section of the header. I wrapped mine from top to bottom. I have no resonance and no hisses. Theoretically, wrapping the headers will also yeild a gain in power over an unwrapped header. It takes a little time to do well, but it is time well spent.

HAHAHAHAHA just got mine today at 12:00. I ord the oem gaskets, but is thier a step by step on this install? or is it easy? Would it be wise to reweld the perexcisting welds around the cunnection points or is it not nessarry? forgive the spelling.

i dont think rewelding is nessessary. you are going to love these headers between the sound they give off and the power gains they are amazing. you are going to fall in love with your car all over again

I wouldn't bother rewelding unless they break.

I WANT THEM ON RIGHT NOW!!! I have a lift so it shouldn't take me long ... i hope. i'm waiting on the oem gaskets. i would reuse the ones i have but i figured better new that old. I welds look good.. so i'm not tuching them. I do want to make a custom intake.... well bigger piping. My baby is new. I got (Allice) Oct. of last year with 46,ooo miles, so she and i are still getting to know eachother. She lets me do thing to her that my civic (Viki) would never stand for!! hehehe

it's easy but hard at the same time..just rears are teh biggest pain...take off the strut bar...get on top of the motor..reach your hand inside and feel for the bolts...

Yeah it's easy but hard. Just make sure you have the car up on jack stands, clearance is key Other than that, the bolts connecting the A pipe to the cat will be the hardest, spray those with PB Blaster first and then tackle the header bolts in the meantime. Shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours max. If you're not at least somewhat mechanically inclined I wouldn't try it, even though it's just unbolting a bunch of nuts, removing existing pipes and replacing them with the new ones...

Since we have this thread going, can someone tell me what size bolts are needed and how many I need to get? What gaskets should I get too? Seems the ones between the block and the header run about $15 a piece. Do these have to be replaced? The other one going to the cat is only $7 or so which is no problem to replace.

3 bolts (#4) and 3 nuts (#26) from here:

http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no

You don't need to replace the bolts connected to the block that hold the headers on. I reused the same nuts that were on that but it might not be a bad idea to get new ones just in case the old ones get stripped etc. You should definitely get the gaskets.

I would replace them, that way you know you're getting a tight seal and don't have to worry about the mark the old headers may have made on them.

Did everyone else to this. They say it makes it easier to install the rear head. is that the oem "strit bar"

I never removed/saw a center beam under the car when I did this. I think I did loosen the strut bar though but removing it wasn't mandatory. Depends on how nimble you are

I think it took me 2 rolls of 1"x25'. I ruined about 8-10 feet in my 1st attempt but a buddy had some left over from his install.

I would start with two 25 ft rolls and see how far it gets you.

Bend goes on the rear. The bend is to clear the mount in the 6 speed.

When i start the car it makes a zizzing noise, Also sounds like valve tapping. All the bolts are tight and gaskets are good but i don't know. I guess i'll give it until the end of the week to see if it solves it's self. Any thoughts are welcome
