If you're stock or even decently modified, you will be seeing taillights getting farther and farther away. Since you have an auto, it won't even be close unless the Z driver really messes up.

i raced a 6 speed at the drag strip with my '01 auto.

he ran a 14.23, i ran a 14.33

he was bone stock, my car had all bolt ons.

You'll need H/I/tires just to keep up with a stock 6 speed, and even then he has the advantage. I'm not sure what the auto's run stock.

Well I Ran A G-35 And Took Him Off The Line Into 2 Gear And He Had A 6spd And On The Highway I Was Racing One And Was Right With Him And We Had An Open Roadway

Played with a guy in a 6-speed 350Z, he was a tad quicker. He was bone stock. I have 2001 auto CLS with I/H + light wheels + sticky tires.

He was impressed. And, I was also impressed with the Z...

With my '01 CLS, I beat a 350z auto somewhat convincingly when it just came out (go figure, I now have a Z). I don't know why, my car seemed faster then other CL's with similar mods when racing side by side. At the time of the race I had comptech headers/CAI/and HKS exhaust. I was by myself, the Z had two ppl in the car...after we were done with the race....the guy looked at me and said; "dude what do you got in there?" lol Then I asked, "Is your car auto?" He just frowned and nodded.

my friend has a 04 auto but hes not the type to race so i dont know if we are gonna ever line up.

^ I don't know what it was, but I really beat this guy to the point he asked for my mod list.......I say try racing him and see what happens, I think you have a good chance Darrin with your bolt on mods. I for one was suprised and intimidated at first because the Z just came out and I didn't know shit about it.

Personally been killed twice by the track and touring models in the CLS. Its been a different story now. 3-0 Since late april.

Havent lost to one yet. Of course, it is difficult to get them to play. Most of the time they are very reluctant.

I raced my friends stock 350z from a dig and a roll and i beat him by a car each time...........






































oh i forgot to mention he got some heavy ass 20 inch rims on it that weighed like 32 lbs before tires.

the one ive seen at the track was going 13.0 at 105..once i get my uni chip...ported upperintake/throttle body and RES..i expect ill be about 13.2 at 104

sorry but that makes no sense. from a dig the rear wheel drive car has the advantage. saying your car is faster off the line than a Z is a bit of a stretch unless there was a big difference in power, which i don't see here.

well i go 2.0 all the time not saying the Z cant but...and on the street i tend to get out on most rear wheel drive cars when traction is limited ,i tend to be more consistant

fact is...like the SC'd CL-S' the times going up for the greedy 350 arent unattainable like i said 13.0 at 105 sounds like a Z28 to me ,and we all know ive never beat one of those...seriously 13.7 and 102 before light weight wheels,pulley,tstat,unichip,ported upper intake ,and scalbert's RES,is it that far of a stretch? if i dont go 104 this fall ill be very surprised

I had a quick race with one about 2 weeks ago. He was coming from the track and had a 12.8 written on his window. He took the jump out of a toll plaza in NJ and by the time I shifted to 4th he was too far back for him even to be interested anymore. No contest, but it was fun....especially since 12.8 is a fast z.

About 10 minutes after that I destroyed an M5 from 70-100. It was a fun ride home. Got boost?

I ran my buddies stock 01 CL-S from a dig and a roll....from a dig he gave up after second gear when I was already 3-4 cars out....from a 45 roll he hung for a half second and then I proceeded to put buslengths on him.

I would really like to run a modded CL-S...but there aren't that many around here.

No need to start calling BS and doubting my intelligence. I guess I should've specified (but I thought it was obvious), I was driving my s/c 5.0 LX, and not my TL.

And yes, I know how fast 12.8 is and yes I know how fast the m5 is.........and yes I'm WAY faster than both.

my bro was driving my car the other day and he was behind a 350z drop 6 speed , both of them, turning right onto the freeway and going WOT, the Z was ahead cause it got onto the freeway first but my bro did pull on it and get even by the end of 2nd
