handbrake stuck

I wasn't at home all summer and my 3.2 sat outside for 3 months without being used.
Now, the handbrake is stuck. Any tips on what to do???

Weird. It's just stuck. I'm guessing you have a 6 speed so it's next to the cup holder. Can you pull it up more? Maybe that can loose it a bit.

well, I pulled it up but I don't want to go too strong, I'm afraid I'll break something.
The handbrake's lever goes down. From the inside, seems to work fine. But the brakes are stuck in the rear. I put the lever up, down, up, down... the rear brakes are always on.

yes, I have all that. I just would like to know what to look for when I'm under there. Otherwise I'll just wind up pulling on anything and putting wd40 everywhere.
